I'm reading a few books on jewelry from the 1900-1950 to see what path's jewelry designers took and find some new inspiration.
In Masterpieces of French jewelry, the name
Lalique pops up over and over again. I read up on his history and he really crosses the line between nature and abstract forms. Sometimes his pieces are creepy, but other times they teleport you to a parallel dimension.
